Many of you may already know pairc.com has closed and with this comes the
end of a era headed by what is considered by many to be one of the (if not
the) best mIRC scripts ever created, i for one have been collecting scripts
for a little more than six years and have a quite big amount of files stored
for my personal use, out of this collection, i only use two scripts, one of
which is Peace & Protection 4.22 which like many pnp users i have slightly
modified to better suite my needs. I really am sadened by the closing of pairc.com
and knowing there might not be any other version ever released, i do realize
it took a long time for version 4.22 to come out and many thought there would
never be a new version after pnp 4.00 final beta, but then a few other versions
came out, this time around it does look like the end of the pnp dinasty because
unlike when the final beta appeared to be the final version, pairc.com remained
open all that time, this time it's no longer there.
From all the years i've spent on IRC and collecting scripts i have come upon
some great scripts by authors like Kall, Blue Elf, NTD, Tig0ti and many others
who have at one point or the other offered us true masterpieces of coding
with their scripts, such has been the case with Tabo and Pai, the authors
of the 2 scripts i use. I have mentioned several times that scripting seems
to have slowed down too much in recent times, these days most of the great
scripters listed along with many others have either lost interest in their
work or no longer have the time to continue the work. Even while pairc may
have closed and some other sites seem to be close to following, i will keep
hopes high and wait to see if we can enjoy at least one more version of scripts
like aIRC, i2 and pnp, in the meantime i have decided to host some of Pai's
last releases to give others a chance to own them as well, at the moment i
will include only the last 3 versions of pnp and the last one for i2, i do
have just about every official pnp addon formerly available at pairc, they can be downloaded here.
